Be Confident in Our Course Correcting Holy Spirit

Good morning!

"Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'" Matthew 19:26

I've heard people say that we can't use that verse to feel empowered because it was in reference to salvation. Jesus said that immediately after telling them that it is hard for the rich to go to heaven. It is like a camel trying to go through the eye of a needle. Right after that he said this verse about all things being possible with God. But multiple references would lead us to believe that with God all things are indeed possible.

"Is there anything too hard for the Lord?" Genesis 18:14a

"I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. " Job 42:2

"Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." Jeremiah 32:17

Before I started reading all these verses, though, I had been in Acts and Jesus told His disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came of them.

When we have the power of God, through the Holy Spirit, NOTHING will be impossible, too hard or beyond what He can do. His plans might look different than our plans, but He is always course correcting us if we live by His Spirit and seek Him.

That is the assurance we have and that we live by!
