A couple ways to reduce sugar cravings!
Sunday Funday!
Today is the day I try to meal plan and make sure I have food set for the week so we don't fall back on pre-made, boxed or convenient foods that might be full of sugar, preservatives, etc.
One of the things I tell patients and clients is how reduce the cravings for sugar by eating foods that are slower to digest.
Eating foods with fiber and healthy fat will give your body a steady stream of calories so that you are not looking for a quick fix at every turn during the day!
I prep hard boiled eggs by cooking about 6 at a time and peeling them and putting them in some containers so I have a quick breakfast or snack when I'm in a time crunch.
Try to buy baby vegetable anything! Baby seedless cucumbers, Baby bell peppers, Baby carrots.....and when I'm in a rush and don't even think I have time to cut up vegetables, I grab some of those and a tablespoon of hummus or guacamole and voila! Healthy fat and fiber that didn't take much time at all!
Slow cookers are another time-saver for me. Put a bunch of veggies and some cut up chicken with a little bone broth and you have soup for later....or, I will take that chicken out and put it in a tortilla with the veggies on the side!
I'm pulling out the recipe books today and making my shopping list for the week....
So, what's your plan for the week?
